Keep Kashmir connected

While the already congested roads in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir have irked the local populace, occupying the roadsides has been further pushing the people to the wall. However, amidst such happenings, the authorities concerned have failed to take appropriate measures or steps to ensure that some relief is brought to the commuters, who are being forced to face hardships here amidst the presence of vehicles parked on the roadsides. The vehicles could be seen parked on the roadsides in City areas while these roadsides are also being occupied by the street vendors, who erect their carts and leave less space for the commuters to commute. But, unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard as the officials concerned are not bothering to look into the issue and end the miseries of the commuters, who usually remain stuck in the traffic mess, leading to the difficult situation for them and wasting their precious time in the traffic congestion. One fails to understand why the roads are being allowed for the business purposes and also the commuters being allowed to park their vehicles on the roadsides, which leads to the sufferings. However, at this juncture, there is a need to take apt measures and steps in this regard so that the people travelling through the City routes will heave a sigh of relief and they will witness a hassle-free movement on the roads.
