Srinagar, Jun 24: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, paid glowing tribute to the Second Caliph of Islam, Ameer-ul-Moomineen Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), on the solemn occasion of his martyrdom anniversary.
In his statement, Mirwaiz recalled the towering legacy and unparalleled contributions of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) to the cause of Islam and humanity. He described the Caliph as a fearless, just, and visionary leader whose era of governance laid the foundations for justice, equity, freedom, religious tolerance, and human dignity across the Islamic world.
Mirwaiz said that Hazrat Umar Farooq’s (RA) deep commitment to the service of people and propagation of Islamic values is not only historic but continues to serve as a timeless source of inspiration for all believers. “His administrative acumen, personal integrity, and unwavering dedication to truth and justice remain a guiding light for all rulers and leaders even today,” Mirwaiz stated.
Emphasizing the relevance of Hazrat Umar’s (RA) teachings in today’s world, Mirwaiz said that the life and legacy of Farooq-e-Azam (RA) serve as an ideal model for Muslims, and his principles of governance, compassion, and accountability offer crucial lessons for contemporary leadership.
