DDC Budgam reviews progress under District Capex 2026-27

Budgam, Sep 15: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of works approved under the District Capex 2026-27.
The DDC directed all concerned departments to expedite the completion of estimates, 100 percent tendering and ensuring that projects are taken up for execution at the earliest.
At the outset, the District Development Commissioner conducted a detailed department-wise review of the physical and financial progress of works including Rural Development Department (RDD), Public Works Department (PWD), Minor Irrigation, Youth Services and Sports, Health, Jal Shakti, Ground Water, Power Development Department (PDD), JAKEDA and other departments.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to maintain close monitoring of ongoing works and ensure their timely and quality execution. He also stressed regular field inspections and effective supervision to identify and address any gaps or shortcomings promptly. “Effective supervision will ensure that there are no gaps in execution and that any shortcomings are promptly addressed, while maintaining the required quality standards,” he asserted.
Stressing on timely achievements of both physical and financial targets, the DDC further directed the officers to ensure proper coordination among departments, expedite pace work and adhere to prescribed timelines for completion of works.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Vivek Agarwal, Joint Director Planning, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD and other engineering wings, Block Development Officers, Assistant Executive Engineers and other concerned officers.
