Forces arrest Hizb militant in Khrew

Awantipora, Jul 28: An active militant associated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen has been arrested during Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Khrew area of Awantipora area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Wednesday.
Police in a statement, said that based on specific information, Awantipora Police, Army 50 RR and CRPF 185 Bn launched a joint CASO during morning hours in Shar Shali Khrew area of Police district Awantipora.
During the search operation, the joint forces observed some suspicious movement in the Orchard area, which was under cordon.
The joint forces noticed a suspected person, who was trying to escape but alert operation parties over empowered the suspect and apprehended him, the statement added.
As per statement, he has been identified as active militant of HM namely Sahil Manzoor Mir, son of Manzoor Ahmad Mir of Tulbagh Pampore.
Meanwhile, incriminating material including arms and Ammunition has been recovered from his possession, the statement added.
