Keep Kashmir connected

As the Monsoon culminated in Jammu and Kashmir, the first erratic weather conditions, have once again led to the sufferings of people across Srinagar and elsewhere in the Valley as the electricity remained affected for hours together since the afternoon here. The arrival of winter season has always affected the normal life here in the Valley as the electricity has never remained unhindered here, thus leaving the dwellers here to lurch at large. In the recent years, the incumbent administration claimed to have taken series of steps with regard to ensuring 24*7 electricity in Kashmir. But, all the promises turned hoax as the adequate electricity during the winter period remained a dream for the people not only in far-off areas, but for the other main localities as well. One fails to understand when and how the concerned department will put an end to the erratic power supply in the Valley during the winter period. The harsh winter period in absence of the adequate electricity is always adding to the miseries of the people here, thus in order to put to an end to the sufferings of people, the government especially the concerned department should take immediate steps to ensure round-the-clock electricity across Kashmir during the winter period. There is a need to put an end to the power paucity across Kashmir during the winter period. The time has come when the government should implement its promises done with the people here on the ground so that they (people) could heave a sigh of relief.
