The change that never exist

The tall claims about the power scenario have failed to change the ground situation here as the concerned department is not even adhering to its curtailment schedule announced a few weeks ago. It is not for the first time that the consumers across Kashmir are facing the worst power cuts. But, the people are always being forced to face hardships during the winter period in absence of electricity. One fails to understand what kind of directions are being passed by the top authorities as nobody seems paying heed to the directives as the unscheduled power cuts have never come to an end, thus adding to the miseries of the people. It seems that the augmentation and increase of the infrastructure is not helping the government in any way to ensure the better power supply to the consumers as the situation is turning from bad to worse with each passing year. Everyone in the valley desires to see adequate electricity during the winter period when it becomes the need of the hour as the harsh winter period, commonly known as Chillai Kalan, freezes even the water bodies here. The end to the power woes is nowhere visible on the ground. There is a need to augment the infra further so that the people here could be able to supply adequate electricity during the winter period so that the claims about the change would be visible on the ground.
