Ganderbal, Feb 25: A residential house was completely damaged in a massive blaze that broke out at Arampora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district in the intervening night of Thursday-Friday.
The locals said that a massive fire broke out from the residential house of Muhammad Saleem Mir, son of Abdul Raheem Mir at around 2 am in the night.
The fire-fighters and locals doused the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby localities, witnesses said, adding that the residential house suffered huge damage,” they said.
Locals said that the property worth lakhs of rupees got damaged in the incident.
However, the officials said that the cause of fire was being ascertained yet, adding that there was no loss of life in the incident.
The locals of the village urged the administration to compensate the losses to the affected family at an earliest.
Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of the fire incident and has started investigation into the matter.
