The loan culture in Kashmir: Balancing need and luxury

The upgradation of Bakshi stadium that was dedicated to the sportspersons of Jammu and Kashmir by lieutenant Governor yesterday is all set to provide a platform to the young budding talent in the Union Territory amid the dearth of play fields across J&K. The lack of adequate playfields as well as the other infrastructure in J&K for the past several decades put brakes on the talent of the youth, who failed to deliver at the national and international level, thus putting a question mark over the skills as well as the measures taken by the government. However, the present dispensation in J&K has taken a series of steps so far to provide better infrastructure to the sportsperson here where they can flourish their talent and prove their ability later at higher platforms. It has been observed that for the past two years, many youth have managed to secure their positions at the biggest stages where they not only made the whole country proud. With the upgradation of Bakshi stadium, the young budding talent has got a hope to flourish their talent further and prove their ability at national and international level. There is a need to come up with more such initiatives to help the youth in achieving the feat in their lives and compete with the youth from other states and UTs without any hesitation. J&K youth are talented enough to make the country proud, but some more measures are needed to help them in flourishing their skills.
