Budgam, Sep 9: A soldier shot himself to death in Central Kashmir’s Chadura town of Budgam district on Friday.
Official sources said that a soldier part of 53 Rashtirya Rifles at Nagam Chadura camp shot himself. He was shifted to Army Hospital Srinagar where doctors declared him dead.
The slain soldier has been identified as Bhupinder Singh son of Surjeet Singh, a resident of Makshoorpur, Punjab.
Police in this regard have registered a case and started investigation. (KNT)
