Pained to see ‘illegal dismantling’ of DRDO hospital Khonmoh: Er Aijaz

Srinagar, Sep 15: Expressing deep shock and anguish over the illegal dismantling of DRDO hospital Khonmoh, Srinagar, Young BJP leader and DDC member Khonmoh Er Aijaz Hussain Thursday said that agency involved in dismantling of the hospital has no permission from any authority and that the LG Manoj Sinha led administration should immediately convert the hospital into a tertiary care for the larger public interest.
Er Aijaz stated this after conducted an extensive visit to the 500 bed DRDO hospital at Khonmoh that was inaugurated by LG Manoj Sinha on June 10, 2021 to treat Covid patients. The hospital is fully equipped with ICUs, latest machinery, gadgets, oxygen facilities, and high quality X-Ray and ECG machines, besides a full-fledged testing laboratory, and 125 ICU bed capacity. Out of 125 ICU beds, 25 are reserved for children and 375 beds have 24-hour oxygen connectivity.
Er Aijaz after seeing the dismantling of the hospital illegally, expressed shock, grief and pain stating that the hospital was a great asset to the people of not just Srinagar but entire Kashmir given its equipment and testing capacity. The BJP leader said urged
Er Aijaz Hussain visits DRDO hospital Khonmoh, express grief, anguish over poor fate of hospital stating that LG Manoj Sinha should intervene and ensure that the hospital is converted into a tertiary care one so that people across Kashmir benefit from its huge infrastructure. He said that the hospital can be used to treat patients in need of dialysis, those suffering from infectious diseases, and a Cath Laboratory etc. He said a huge population of industrial area Khonmoh can benefit from the hospital and that its dismantling should be stopped forthwith.
