Srinagar, Apr 19: Cyber Police in Kashmir has recovered nearly Rs 8 core from fraudsters for the last four years, revealed data provided by the agency.
Cyber Police has registered over 150 cases, related to fraud and different scams since 2020. The highest number of cases 56 were registered in 2022 and the highest amount of Rs 3 crore was also recovered from online fraudsters in the same year.
In 2020 and 2021, 27 cases each were registered against online mountebanks, while 40 cases were registered in 2023 and so far in the ongoing year, only one case of online fraud stands registered at Cyber Police Station Kashmir.
Cyber Police arrested 132 fraudsters in the last four years as well. [KNT]
