The document states that the Consultant (DDMA) will be the nodal officer for these training’s under the supervision of DDMO.
The action plans call upon SDRF, Civil Defence and health departments to cooperate in coordinating and executing these training sessions effectively.
“The second program targets local residents and community leaders, intending to raise awareness about heat wave risks and promote proactive measures within the community,” reads the heat wave action plan document.
The document further states that through these training initiatives, DDMA endeavors to enhance preparedness and resilience against heat wave events in Srinagar district.
According to the heat wave action plan, ‘red alert’ (severe condition) will be triggered when the maximum temperature exceeds the normal temperature by at least 6 degrees Celsius.
