Pulwama, Aug 1: Shabir Ahmad Kumar, a man in his early thirties from Murran village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday after being electrocuted earlier this week.
The incident occurred on July 29, when Kumar was electrocuted at his home in the village. He was initially taken to a local district hospital and later referred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, Kumar’s injuries proved fatal.
Kumar leaves behind a wife, two young children—a son and a daughter—along with his parents. He also had a younger unmarried brother and four married sisters.
The entire family, as well as the villagers, are in shock and despair over his untimely death.
Kumar was involved in the high-density orchard business, mainly contributing to his family’s livelihood. His sudden passing has left a void in both his family and Murran village.
